Communication

Communication including tactical communication, is designed to provide the student with the ability and skills to differentiate between the two, it will also introduce the student to some relevant and appropriate theory on the subject and in a practical sense, show how to communicate. The module will also provide advice, options and solutions to assist in the management of an individual who demonstrates the various stages of anti-social behaviour and understand that ‘Tactical Communication’ or ‘Conflict Management Skills’ are the core skills when dealing with an individual or individuals. This training can be taught in isolation as a separate module, although it blends with Customer Service, Use of Force, Conflict Management and Report Writing. This training will be fully supportive and a great reminder of the basics in SIA training. Communication is the key to security and ties all aspects business, management, operational responsibility and ‘everyday life’ together. In very basic terms communication is broken down into three areas, verbal, non-verbal and written and this module will consider all of these as well as identify the links to various other areas of learning. Practical and operational communication skills training will help your business environment to be safer, more efficient and productive. Positive and effective communication will produce a more constructive and productive officer or team, making the workplace a positive and thriving environment.
