Incorporating detail and description are key and fundamental skills for everyone reporting events, incidents or crimes. This is for evidential reasons, the need for managerial reports or simply passing or the cascading of information. CPD Security Training will develop the need, and then develop the officer’s ability to succinctly and accurately notice and record detail and description. The training gets participants to think of ways to improve their skills, reports, and operational practice. Sometimes, due to the effects of stress or pressure and/or with the limitations of a person’s communication skill this can be a difficult element to practically address. Time is spent on the basics of descriptions but not at the expense of developmental learning. CPD will develop detail and description of people, vehicles, places, scenes and locations. This session combines well with report writing, accountability and justification.
