Dynamic Risk Assessment

DRA training is to assist supervisors and managers who are responsible for ensuring that correct assessments of the work activities or their areas are undertaken. They are responsible for ensuring that risks are adequately controlled, and assessments are reviewed regularly. This is further developed when Security Officers or employees are risk assessing their surroundings constantly, this is called a dynamic risk assessment (i.e., based on ‘that moment’) for every aspect of the work they cover, not just Health and Safety aspects. Officers will be led through the theory and DRA model in the context of their site. An awareness of DRA will assist in the practice of observing, assessing and analysing environments whilst your staff work, to identify and remove risk. The process allows individuals to identify a hazard on the spot and make quick decisions in relation to their own safety and the safety of others, thus reducing liability and increasing safety.
