Situationally awareness in the context of Security Training is what is going on around the officer before, during, and after interactions, while also being fully aware of what is happening around the officer in spite not currently being the focus of an officer’s immediate task or location. The training can be site specific and draws on officer’s experiences, and really discusses the ‘what if?’ element of ‘everyday’ and how complacency can creep in, to the detriment of staff, managers and ultimately reputations.
